Tips for Ordering
Thank you for your interest in purchasing a John L. Baker print!
All paintings offered on this website are reproductions of John L. Baker original paintings. The works offered through this website are exclusive to www.johnlbakerart.com and are not available for purchase on any other sites. The printing is done through Artspan using premium archival inks and substrates. These inks and substrates create a print that is as close as it can be to the original painting, giving you an incredible work of art that you will enjoy for years to come!
Canvas Prints (our #1 pick!)
Prints done on canvas give you the traditional look of a real original painting. These prints are not put behind glass and are sprayed with a protective coating for easy cleaning and to avoid fading. We recommend ordering your print in a "gloss" finish rather than "satin". The gloss finish really brings out the vivid colors and detail of the print, making it as close to the original as possible! There are three options when choosing a mounting style for canvas prints; No Mounting, Museum Wrap, & Gallery Wrap.
No Mounting: This option is what you should choose if you are wanting to stretch/frame the print yourself. The painting will be printed onto the canvas, and then safely shipped to you. Most who choose this option would then go to local frame shop to have their print mounted as they wish.
Museum Wrap: This option is what you should choose if you are wanting a decorative frame for your print. Frames can really bring a print to life and also tie the painting into the décor of your home. The image will be stretched onto a wood frame and then mounted into the decorative frame of your choosing. Although you can get this option without a frame, a small white border will be visible around the sides, and therefore we recommend either adding on a frame from Artspan, or having it framed at your local frame shop.
Below are examples of Museum Wrapped prints that have been framed in an Artspan frame:
Gallery Wrap: This option is what you should choose if you are not wanting a decorative frame for your print. This style is a bit more modern and can really stand out as a showpiece in your home. The image will be stretched onto a wood frame and you will choose your border style. There are three options for the border: black, white or mirror. Mirror is just that, a mirrored image of the painting itself that wraps around the side.

Paper Prints
If canvas is just not your style, there are several options for paper prints as well. Our top recommended paper type is “Premium Archival Matte”. When choosing a paper print, you have the option of adding a frame, mat and glass. If you choose not to add these options, the image will be printed on your selected paper, and safely shipped to you. Most who choose this option would then go to a local framing shop to have their print framed. We strongly recommend that any paper prints get mounted in a frame and put behind glass to preserve them for years to come.
